About patient guidance. Where can I get help and independent advice about patients' rights?
Patient Office is an independent body whose task is to inform citizens about their rights in health care and that are authorized to act as problem solver, if the individual feels trapped in the system. Usually, your GP or hospital staff, the nearest to inform and advise on options and choices of research, treatment and care. But if you want additional information and advice, please contact the patient advisor at your Regional Office of the Patient. You can safely turn if there are conditions or personnel in health care, you are dissatisfied with, or if you suspect a problem in the treatment.
Patient advocacy in health care

Health Service Ombudsman
The role is to consider complaints that government departments, and a range of other public bodies, have not acted properly or fairly or have provided a poor service. Complaints should first be taken up locally with the local hospital, clinic or surgery. If the complaint is not dealt with satisfactorily locally then the complaint can be made to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman is completely independent of the NHS and the Government. There is no charge for the Ombudsman's service.
Also Private hospitals offer patient guidance
Typically, the Private Hospitals and private clinics also employed a patient advisor to inform, guide and advise on patient rights, including rules on: access to care, free choice of hospital, waiting times, rules governing the review and Compensation. Patient rights and free choice of hospital in the EU

BRIEF ON PATIENT RIGHTS:
As a patient you have the right to information: the particular treatment, complications and side effects, and what impact it will have if you do not want to be treated and the expected outcome. You always have the opportunity to tell the doctor that there is information you do not want. - You decide and you give consent: an offer examination or treatment must be started. If treatment is changed, you are entitled to new information and will again give your consent. - You decide who should have information about your disease: it's you as a patient who decides whether and to whom staff must speak. If it should happen that you lose the ability to defend your own interests, personnel must cooperate with your family or a guardian. - You have a right of access: all the age of 15 years can ask for access and thereby obtain a copy of their records and help you understand the information in the record. You have the right to get answers to your inquiry. In exceptional cases there may be full or partial refusal of access. - You have the opportunity to complain and get compensation: Are you unhappy with the service level, the tone, the physical surroundings or the food, then you can discuss it with staff or contact the department or hospital management. - You have a right to know what data about you: to the hospital can give you the best possible treatment, it is necessary to record a variety of data about you. You can always find out what data is collected. - You decide whether to participate in scientific experiments: if you are asked whether you want to participate in a scientific experiment, you must be informed both orally and in writing about the trial.
