Tonsillitis - Sore Throat
A Sore Throat (Pharyngitis or Tonsillitis) is a symptom of a disease affecting the pharynx or the area around the Tonsils. Symptoms of Tonsillitis include sore throat and fever. Tonsillitis (Sore Throat) is inflammation of the Tonsils most commonly caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Usually due to infection with the virus but can also be caused by infection with bacteria. In seven out of ten cases are due to tonsillitis a respiratory virus, and therefore can not be treated with penicillin, but disappears by itself within a few days. Treatment of Tonsillitis
